"A GREAT Reelz Channel TV segment on the show."
Moving on now.. this Wednesday the 25th at the "Camp" in Orange County(another anti-mall
environment across the street from the lab)
There's this show called The Element Youth Movement sponsored by Element Skateboards.
There are 28 artists that were invited to design, draw, paint, etc. on on old skateboards decks that will be made into belt buckles for amazingly affordable prices!
come check it out, or just checkout the website. it's probably easier if you don't live in the area.
hopefully they will update the site soon, so all the buckles will be easily viewable.

Thanks to you New York!
The trip out to New York was a blast, a lot of things happened out there. I fill you in. But first of all I would like to thank everyone that made the whole experience out there so unforgettable. So please allow me to guide you through some important photos.
enjoy-
We just arrived at the hotel, and then took off down to the subways, my mom looks a little nervous. From left to right Uncle Rich, Dad, Mom, Me, and Aunt Linda

I had something else planned for the trip besides the show. I had been planning to do this in New York, so i saved all my nickels and pennies and bought a ring. Many of you know this, but If you haven't heard the news On 49th and 6th street on 6/6/07 I asked Liv to marry me, she said "yes" It's a funny story- the ring almost went down a storm drain. here's the corner

We met up with my good friend Chris Sanchez that flew in that morning. After we had Liv's ring resized we went to Ellis Island and the the Statue of Liberty (pretty amazing back side of her) she must work out. My mom found her grandfather's info on when he came to this country from Italy. She saw his his signature and the a picture of the boat he was on. pretty amazing stuff. here's a picture of my dad, Super tourist

We all went to Carnegie Deli and Jake got a turkey club sandwich that was bigger than his head. That only sandwich that defeated him. Sorry Jake

That night, we all went to a bar called "sweet and vicious" it was cool because everybody came out for it, a lot of shenanigans went on that night

That night turned into a late one, I remember getting back to the hotel during the sunrise, oh man. We had another crazy night waiting for us, the night of the show

The night of the show was the climax, my parents, aunt and uncle and a lot of other people had left the next morning. We were pretty hung over, so after their send off we returned to bed for awhile. We had some shitty bar food that made us want to take another nap

We went out for dinner that night, had a night cap at a bar and said our goodbyes to our friends that were returning home. We saw a David Letterman show the following day and were off to New Jersey.
The events that follow will be part 2. That will be posted shortly
that posting will cover New Jersey, Delaware, Baltimore, and Washington D.C
bye!

Fuse Gallery 7/14/07 Thanks!
My first solo show closed at the Fuse Gallery on the Saturday the 14th. The show was well received. Some pieces were sold on the preview night, and then on the opening night more than half of the show sold. It was a totally a successful trip. I know for a fact this show wouldn't have been even half successful if I didn't have all the love and support from all my family and friends, which many did come out to see the show and visit the big apple.

Because this show went so well, I've booked another show out in New York for October 27th. It's going to be a show on portraits of Yetis in conjunction with Halloween. I will keep everyone well informed about that.

This is way cool
Night @ Nucleus 7/13/07
This sculpture was made, then three paintings followed
it. It was a show called "process" the curator gave
us full reign to do whatever we wanted to do, so they
wasn't any rules. The show was mainly about the
process we all go through to make a piece of art.
My process was procrastination, i had a year and three
months to do these pieces and i waited until the last
minute and finished them them two days before the
opening.

Hey there, so the cult show piece is done and it look pretty cool. This show is getting great press, check out the website for the gallery- gallery1988.com.
Kevin Smith was talking about the show on 97.1 talk radio. He's hosting this event and he referred to my painting as the "Mona Lisa" of peek art. Whatever that means I'll take it. I'll be posting it soon, probably tomorrow. But to tide you over here are some belt buckles i painted for this event at the camp in Costa Mesa July 25th. here's the link to the show- http://www.ymctour.com/art.html
